CCGS Captain Goddard MSM
CCGS Captain Goddard M.S.M. is one of the Canadian Coast Guard's nine Hero-class patrol vessels. Based at Victoria, British Columbia, the vessel's primary roles are fishery and environmental patrols, border control, search and rescue.
Captain Nichola Goddard School
Captain Nichola Goddard School is a middle school in the northwest Calgary community of Panorama Hills. Nichola’s parents Tim and Sally, and her sister Katherine, resided in Calgary at the time of Nichola’s death.
Captain Nichola Goddard Bridge
A bridge along the Highway of Heroes is named in Nichola’s honour, thanks to the generous support of Canso Investment Counsel. The bridge is on Ontario Street in Cobourg.
The Trews - Highway of Heroes
Colin and John-Angus MacDonald of The Trews went to high school with Nichola in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, and wrote Highway of Heroes as a tribute to the Nichola and all who serve. The song was certified Gold in Canada in October 2014.
Trigg Goddard - Shilo, Manitoba
In November 2006 Nichola’s colleagues at CFB Shilo dedicated a trig marker on the base to Nichola. A trig marker is a survey point that fixes one’s location and orientation and is used for navigation.
Captain Goddard Sword
The Captain Nichola K.S. Goddard Memorial Sword is presented to the best Regular Officer Training Plan artillery senior cadet at Royal Military College of Canada to carry in their fourth year.
Goddard Lake, Saskatchewan
In 2015 a lake in Northern Saskatchewan was named after Nichola, as part of a series of geomemorials to recognize the sacrifices of individuals who were born or spent time in Saskatchewan and who gave their lives in service. The full news story is available here.

Valerie Fortney published a book about Nichola’s life with Key Porter Books in 2010.
Royal Military College
Nichola’s name was etched on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. Classmates and friends also remembered her in the e-veritas alumni magazine.
Scouts Canada Loyalist Area Memorial Wall
Nichola Goddard's name was added to the Scouts Canada Loyalist Area (Kingston, ON) Memorial Wall at Camp Otter Lake for those Scouters who have "Gone Home"
Fish Creek Provincial Park
A tree was planted in memory of Captain Nichola Goddard at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
Canadian Forces Women’s Soccer Team Award
The Captain Nichola Goddard Memorial Trophy awarded to the top CF Women's Soccer Team performing in the CF regional tournament.
Memorial Plaque, Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School
Her high school, Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School, has a memorial plaque hung in the main foyer in memory and honour.
Lament for Captain Goddard
A slow air titled "Lament for Captain Goddard" dedicated to Captain Goddard for highland bagpipe was composed by Jeff McCarthy of the Canadian Black Watch.
Valour Canada Biographical Video and Lesson Plan
Valour Canada prepared a six minute biographical video of Nichola’s life. There is also a corresponding lesson plan for educators.
